Quoting J. Rawlings

The quote from Jerry Rawlings, while running for presidency in 1992 could not be as relevant as it is today.

Interviewer:  “Some of the students we talked to said: “he’s a soft dictator”. But will people have the right to vote you out ?”

Jerry Rawlings: “We have to be able to vote people in and out. But my dear, what we need to do, in this country, is to establish a situation where even if it were the devil who would come and sit on top of us in Ghana, by the vertue of certain procedures and practices, he couldn’t get away by doing whatever he wants. He will eventually have to do what the people expect from him.”

What is the BS that Rawlings i now advocating in Cote d’Ivoire? Sounds like he wanted it good for Ghana and bad for Cote d’Ivoire, I would almost say his comments recently are malicious.
He perhaps is only really concerned about his properties in Abidjan?
